*Summary*
A man called Joseph Merrick was born in 1862 in England. He was called "The Elephant Man" because of his ugly looks, so he always covered his face with cap and hood. When he was 12 years old, after his mother's dead, he left home. Suddenly, he became something of a celebrity in Victorian high society when he was middle of 20. However, he died at the age of 27 because of his head was too heavy to sleep with laying down.
*Recommend/Don't recommend*
I recommend this book because this book is really impressive book. I didn't know about him before I read this book. So I am really glad to read and meet this book. The story is really good, but a little sad the ending.

I think John Merrick came from Leicester in England, which is the city where I went to university. Maybe they still keep his bones in the hospital there.
ReplyDeleteThere is a film about his life too, maybe you can watch if you have time.
